Using the Notes Anchor Extension, you will still see the anchor of notes when you would like to hide all notes in a document including the notes sidepane by using "View" - "Notes". This is the prefered behaviour for some people, as it prevents to accidentally delete a note while continuing to edit the document.

Hi I really like this extension.
I think it would be a good idea to display the note as on onMouseOver when staying over the anchor.
The extensions manager halt with the following message:
system dependencies are not fulfilled

Yes, this is correct, 3.1 is required. There are beta versions of 3.1(OOO310_m2) available if you would like to test it out.
