It has problems recognizing 'ک' (Persian Kaf) on my system (Windows Vista, default Persian keyboard layout), only accepting words as correctly spelled when 'ك' (Arabic Kaf) is used. In other regards it is pretty good. I would like it better if it could suggest using the Zero width non-joiner properly, corecting "می کنم" and "میکنم" into "میکنم" as wells as "گلها" into "گلها", perhaps for the next version?
Is there access to the sources of this extension ? Once available on http://svn.services.openoffice.org/ooo/trunk/dictionaries/ we are able to include the dictionary by default in the localized install sets. see also issue http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=96719
