My extension provides a computer algebra system (CAS) that facilitates symbolic mathematics. It allow the manipulation of mathematical expressions in symbolic form in OOo Calc (and Writer with my extension CmathOOo). For example, you can operate on fraction, complex numbers, polynoms, in cells of Calc.
CmathOOoCAS is an "Addin" written in C++ and compiled for windows 32bits, Linux 32bits, Linux 64bits and Mac OSX Intel.
Many functions are available : all usual functions such as addition, multiplication, division, power, exponential, logarithm, etc... and CAS functions such as "solve", "integrate", "series", etc...
You can define your own symbolic function with many syntaxes : xcas, maple, mupad, TI89.
I also provide for developers a way to use these functions inside a program in OOo-Basic.
It is free under GPL licence.
Two languages are supported : french and english (for non-french OOo)
If you want to add your language, contact me.
Note for Linux users : you have to install some libraries before extension. Type in a terminal :sudo apt-get install libgmp3c2 libmpfr1ldbl libntl-5.4.2 libpari2-gmp libfltk1.1 libjpeg62 libpng12-0 libreadline5

The CmathCAS menu shows up fine in CALC but it does not show up i WRITER. What am I doing wrong? I've have a Danish installation of OO.
http://www.cijoint.fr/cjlink.php?file=cj201101/cijhYcj2sw.png
Je quitte Lib0, je le relance, puis Outils > Extensions et CmathOOoCAS se présente ainsi :
http://www.cijoint.fr/cjlink.php?file=cj201101/cijkrS1bB3.png
En espérant que ces captures pourront vous aider...
Ensuite, en cliquant sur Supprimer, il disparaît sans problème de la liste des extensions. Par contre il est toujours présent ici :
...\Application Data\LibreOffice\3\user\extensions\tmp\extensions\312.tmp_\CmathOOoCAS.oxt\
J'avais au préalable installé LibO en utilisant le profil d'OOo, mais les symptômes étaient les mêmes.
Je précise que CmathOOoCAS fonctionne parfaitement sous ce même environnement et OOo...
Encore bravo pour cette magnifique extension...
Bien cordialement
Jean-Louis
It takes 25 minutes to download this 22.4MB file.
I'll wait to download when its fixed.
Other than that, it looks like it could be very usefull.
somehow it doesnt do anything with OOo3.2 in german.
any ideas?
This is an awesome extension.
It provides a lot of high level functions, ideal for researchers and engineers.
Please keep up.
This is a fantastic extension.
Here is something that would be interesting to integrate:

It's using the graphic card to do calculations with the GLSL api.
Don't let the graphics nature mislead, it's fit for mathematics in general.
And please add OpenCL to your application. It would make it so much faster with a lot of matrixcalculations.
nice extension, wish there was an english version :-/
You can install it again, I've added english translation.
See documentation for description after installation.
