This plug-in allows to replace an existing image in a document with another image keeping its size and position in the document.

I tested it with LibreOffice 4.1.3.2 and it works but svg files are missing in the file-filter dialog.
To replace an SVG-image, open the folder with the image in a file manager and drag the SVG-file to the "Name"-field of the open file dialog. (This method is also much faster for all pictures because you don't have to navigate to the picture-folder each and every time.)
Provides a much-needed functionality that is surprisingly not built-in to OOo. It "just works" and does exactly what I needed. Highly recommend, many thanks to the author.
This tool is very nice. I just had one wish. How shall modify it if I want that it keeps in memory the last "configuration". For example, I used it and click on preview to see the picture. So next time I will use this tool I will have to click again on preview. Would be nice if it can remember that last time preview was enabled. Other example, I took a picture from directory Z, next time I will use this add on, it will start again from home directory and not from Z directory. How to modify it so that it always start from last directory visited. ´

hi, first of all thanks for yout work. It adds a feature to Open Office Writer very important and usefull to me.
I used it for a couple of days but today stopped to work suddently and apparently without reasons.
When I try to change the picture it returns and error that sounds like that:
"Select a picture to change. Unable to replace a picture"
It sounds very enigmatic to me.
Any help or suggestion will be appreciated!

The tool should be display in a new tool bar in Writer, if is not displayed right after you install the plug-in, restart OpenOffice. Usually the tool bar will be floating the first time, but I had the experience using it in Cal and is display right next to the standard tool bar.
