SVG support is one of the most requested features for . There are two options, either SVG import for manipulating SVG graphics within as described in Issue:2497, or embedding SVG graphics "display-only" within documents as described in Issue:49991. Both options have their intrinsic benefits and neither one is a complete replacement for the other. The filter that is provided here tries to translate the SVG vocabulary (or parts thereof) into native OpenDocument primitives that can be manipulated with Draw.

The description states that there are two options, but it does not make it very clear to me how an SVG image file is opened under the distinct options. This defininitely needs to be stated HERE, no question.
However, it is true I do seem to be able to insert an SVG image with the Insert toolbar, and to manipulate the image graphically with the Picture and Frame toolbars, so it seems I can do everything I could want to do, without problems.
But I am still curious about the two options. Or are they historical and no longer applicable?
Also, the english needs going over.
I have downloaded 3.4 but cannot download extension SVG import how do I do this

Ich bekomme beim suchen nach Updates immer die Meldung : "http://www.haumacher.de/svg-import/updates existiert nicht."
Wie bekomme ich die Meldung weg ?

Under fresh installation of OOo 3.2 with your plugin I can't recieve updates, error is
"http://www.haumacher.de/svg-import/updates does not exist"
how can I fix it?

Version 1.2.2 works with OOO 3.0.
Using this extension, you can open svg files in OpenOffice.org Draw as usual files.
I have installed the extension successfully. However, when I open a .svg file, what appears is a blank document. Please advise. Thanks.
