Hii,
I am using Open Office version 4.0.1 and in this want to use "GXLiterate" for Hindi, I follow all the steps as given above. But after downloading the "GXLiterate Extension" I did not get any dialog box that
asks for some information related to proxy and your language and even I did not get any tool bar/"gX button" on the toolbar or in the View Menu also.
Please tell me how to get "GXLiterate" in Open Office version 4.0.1 the same is working in Open Office 3.3.0

Hello,

Instead of Indian language letters, square shape boxes are being displayed. Is there any specific font I need to download to use this extension?

i am getting correct changes when i apply english to hindi, but not for gujarati, bengali and many others.

Hi there,

Have been looking for a transliteration extension. This sounds very promising but unfortunately when I try adding I get the following error when I click on Add and select the oxt:

(com.sun.registry.CannotRegisterImplementationException){ { Messagee="", Context=(com.star.uno.Interface)@0} }

Please can you help / suggest what should be done...?

Regards,
Ankit.

Hello,

this extension is exactly what I need and what I was looking for for a long time!

I use Win 7, latest Java and OOo 3.2, but this extension brings my OOo to crash every time immediately after I activate it. The moment I deactivate it, it is fine.

Also I cannot connect to your website.

Do you have any idea why?

It would be great if I could use this extension!

Thanks for your efforts!

Thomas

Hi, this extension crashes OO 3.1 in Mac OSX 10.5 with Java 1.6 Update 5.

When I click the GX icon nothing comes. I start typing the program crashes.

Thanks

Shiva

To disable the transliteration, click the gX button on the toolbar and uncheck the tranlisteration enabled checkbox. You will be able to type in English now.

Dear rkvsraman,

I have to go to Tools ----> Extension Manager ----> Disable to stop auto conversion.
Clicking on the Toolbar icon gives your details as in 'About'.
I conclude that for translations I have to use Extension Manager Enable - Disable Function to use this well meaning extension.

Hii,
I have installed GXLiterate.oxt and restarted writer. Then some settings dialog get opened and it goes to other
screen, even if I am trying to close it, not getting closed. Also every time opening new writer, those many dialogs
getting opened on my desktop window.

Do check if you are running GXLiterate on OpenOffice 3.0 or greater

First time you open writer after installation, it opens a dialog and

asks for some information related to proxy and your language.

If you do not use proxy uncheck "proxy required" checkbox.

Click on Save and Close.

Next time onwards no dialog box should be visible.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for reply..
I have been using OpenOffice 3.0.0 version, java version is 1.6.0.7.
I also removed extension and installed it again. But when I opens my
writer it opens many settings dialog boxes on my desktop screen and
those are not getting closed.

Ooops.. It is a glitch on Windows XP. We had tested with Linux Systems and even with Windows Vista.

I will look into it.

Try on a Linux box if available for now.

Could you send a screenshot to rkvsraman@gmail.com

Windows XP has spaces in the path where the extension is installed which caused the problem.

I have rectified it now.

Download 0.0.2

Thank you for fixing issue, hope you would solve this early
as possible in new version.

I do not understand. That issue is solved. Download 0.0.2 version which does not have the problem.

I have downloaded new version 0.2. Thank you.
