What is not made clear in the description is that this is the dictionary pack that comes with the English version of AOO. Also what is not mentioned is that it not only contains the U. S. English dictionary (en_US), but the Australian (en_AU), Canadian (en_CA), South African (en_ZA) and the British English (en_GB) dictionaries. It contains the hyphenation dictionaries for British and US English as well.

For some reason the New Zealand English dictionary was left out though.

Still, since all the other dictionaries are available separately, why not the mother country?

I am trying to edit an old file, but can only get USA English. As I have dyslexia, a dictionary/spell checker is really important for me.
Why can't I find one?

I live in Sweden but have relatives living in the UK and i have no connections to the US. At work we mostly use British English so i really, really need a dictionary in British English. Please add one to the available dictionaries.

I was born in the U. S., but I also think there needs to be more British English support.

Why do you no longer offer British English?

Hello,

I have this dictionary and what I see when using the programme is only US-spelling. I need British English though and, if possible the option to mark some text as British some as American English, as I switch the language type according to my customers' needs.
In the dictionaries area I found a BE dictionary that is 244 KB as opposed to 6.2 MB for this pack, and the description says it works under OO 2, while under OpenOffice 3 I should follow another link that led me here (with options for Australian and other styles of English but none for British English). I do have OpenOffice 2 on another machine. However I need BE and AE to run under OpenOffice 3 too and hope OpenOffice 2 stays available for the other machines.

What can I do?

Hello,

by creating and reviewing scientific publications, I quite often find words which are missing in the English language dictionary. How can I contribute these words to the dictionary? To thom can I send these word lists?

Thank you
Gerald
