Compatible with OpenOffice 4.x?

A very simple extension act as title.

Paste only numerical value or text copied from Excel or Calc to table in Writer without rich format.
General Paste and Paste Special can't do one cell to one grid.

Usage:

  1. Copy from Excel or Calc, one cell or a range of cells
  2. Place cursor where you want to paste in Writer
  3. Select PasteAsValue from Edit menu or Standard toolbar
  4. Select "Paste as text" or "Paste as numeral"
  • Set decimal digits for numeral

Tips:
You can choose version between 0.2 and 0.3.x as your favor.
But in ver 0.2:

  • If the cursor isn't in a table, it will do nothing
  • If copied range of cells is larger than the table, it may not act as your expectations
  • If the table isn't empty, it may not act as your expectations

Hello!

I just found if there are empty cells in the copied list, pasteasvalue ends with error during paste operation.

Good luck!

Andis

Thanks for a very useful addon but unfortunately:

OOo 3.2.1 (official, not Ubuntu packaged version) 32bit Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit installs & works fine but like krabina said the message "this file does not run on this computer" is displayed when using Extension Manager to install on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 OOo 3.2.1 (official, not Ubuntu packaged version).

I don't like the automatic table feature that has been introduced in 0.3 version

I prefer 0.2 version which pastes only text

Trying to open the file on Ubuntu 10.04 with the extension manager of OOo 3.2.0 results in a message "this file does not run on this computer" (roughly translated from German).

This feature is what makes significant difference between Word & Excel and Writer & Calc combination. I hope this extension will work also with complicated tables.

Best regards!
