Seems like the extension has run into this:
"For the MacOSX version only, any extensions that are written in C++ for AOO 4.0 (or earlier) will no longer work and be marked as disabled in the AOO extensions manager. This is because of the change of AOO from a 32-bit to a 64-bit application on MacOSX. Please report the problem to the developer of the extension."
With the 4.1.1 release. Backing to 4.1.0 makes the plugin work again.
Any chance of having the extension made compatible with 64 bit macs?
I have installed the extension, but when I try to enable it I get an error:
Could not create Java implementation loader
Any clues?
Cannot upload a new file into Connections "My Files".
I'm connected, can browse files, folders and communities, but uploading a new file to Connections fails everytime.
Each time I'm trying to upload a new file, I end up with error message:
This file <filename> was not uploaded.
<filepath> (Directory or file does not exist)
As a result, a new file name is created in Connections, but has a 0B size.
For existing files it is possible to upload new versions, but to create a new one does not work.
Tested (and failed) is on Linux RHEL with AOO 4.0.1, connector v2.1, Java v1.7.0_51
Regardless if I use Mac OSX or Windows 7 I get "Authorization failed for https//apps.na.collabserv.com" when trying to setup the connector. Am 100% sure the password is correct.
Anyone else succeeded to set it up towards SMartCloud?
To connect SmartCloud please use another extension: IBM SmartCloud Connector for Apache OpenOffice.
But it cannot support Organization Login account, which requires OAuth not Basic Auth we are using now. A fix for this issue is under investigation.
I have a problem installing version 2 on AOO 4. it says that Java 1.6 JRE is required. "java -version" in Terminal returns 1.6.0_51. I am using a MacBook Air with current (10.8) OS X.
Could you provide more details about the error you met? What's the error message? Please noticed that you need to completely exit and restart AOO after install/uninstall the extension.
The plugin installed but wasn't enabled. When I open the extension manager, select the Connections plugin (ver. 2.0.0) and click on "Enable", I get the message "Could not create Java implementation loader" and the plugin won't be enabled.
MacBook Air 2012, OS X 10.8.4, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_51-b11-456-11M4508) (according to terminal command "java -version"), AOO 4.0.0
What else do you need?
My Connection status "Проверка отображения русскоязычного статуса в плагине OpenOffice" looks as "Проверка отображения русскоязычного статуса РІ плагине OpenOffice"
Please try the new version 2.0.1, this issue should be fixed.
I receive the error WEB_EXCEPTION:303 when I try to define Connection server settings. I receive it for both our internal and the greenhouse.lotus.com servers. What does this message mean?
Regards,
Sasa
I have installed version 1.1.0 to the Open Office 3.4.1 (Finnish). The connector doesn't follow the server URL setting of the preferences window at all. Instead the connector tries to connect to w3-connections.ibm.com site every time.
Great extension. Works fine on Windows. However, under Ubuntu Linux it won't run and complains of a missing libswt-win32-3738.so
any way to fix this?
I discovered that, if the IBM Connections system referenced by this plugin, is unavailable (like today's w3 outage), AOO won't start at all.. It just hangs on the splash screen for all AOO apps.
1. Can't add any files to Connections.
2. Inconsistent "Add to" targets. Documents can go to Activities and Blogs but, slides only go to Activities?? Huh
3. UI typos - Author is spelled with an o - Add-to Activities panel shows auther.
edit:
4. Seems that any document that was not created in AOO doesn't get any share options but Activities.
Just wanted to point these out since the don't happen in the Symphony version of the extension... what's going on?
Hello, this extension is similar with the one for IBM Symphony, but not all functions be merger to Apache Openoffice.
I have submitted a new version which with the Files function. Please have a try on the new version 1.1.0.
With this version:
You can post your files to IBM Connections My Files now from AOO window.
You can open your files from IBM Connections My Files just by one click from AOO window.
Files now works as expected. I appreciate your timely response and good work.
