Oracle[tm] Connector for SharePoint Server


This extension allows you to use the Microsoft SharePoint Server with OpenOffice.org. You can open, save and search documents that are stored on a SharePoint Server directly from within your OpenOffice.org application.

Software Requirements


The following software needs to be installed in order to use the extension:

• Microsoft Windows 2000 (Service Pack 2 or higher), XP, 2003, Vista
• Any of the following: OpenOffice.org 3.1 or higher, StarOffice 9.1 or higher, StarSuite 9.1 or higher
• Java 1.5 Update 6 or higher

To use the full functionality some changes have to be done in the SharePoint Server. For this read also the Setup Guide for the Oracle Components for SharePoint Server (see the "setup.pdf" file in the "components" subfolder).




Limitations

• This version currently only runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• This version currently only supports Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2003 (WSS 3.0) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007).
• Only the 32-bit versions of Windows and SharePoint are supported.

Known issues

• User and password data are still registered after reinstallation
• Accessibility (A11y) is not fully supported
• Menu items and toolbar are not available when only the StartCenter is visible
• After a document with an OLE object was saved it could happen that it is in read-only mode
• With a shared installation every user has to accept the license instead of the admin only
