The extension manager diplays an error when I add this OXT. Seems to be an node error in addon.xcu.
Is it possible to fix?
Thanks

What is the name of the font you are using for your logo?
Thanks!

I Installed testfont last night on Windows 7 and it worked.

Tried it again today on another computer running Vista and it doesn't.
My fonts appear in MS Works but when running the testfonts it won't detect the new font.

seems not displaying the used Asian Fonts

I'm using OOo DEV300 m80 on Windows XP SP3 x86 (JA) and I could not install this TestFont Extension.

Extension Manager threw an Exception that node should not be the root element in addon.xcu.mod

I renamed the file extension .oxt to zip, extracted the file, opened addon.xcu with a text editor, and change the root element to oor:component-data with appropriate attributes.

<oor:component-data
xmlns:oor="http://openoffice.org/2001/registry"
xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
oor:name="Addons"
oor:package="org.openoffice.Office">
(snip)
</oor:component-data>

I'm not sure whether it is neccessary, but I also noticed a problem in META-INF/manifest.xml , and added both the namespace declarations and the DOCTYPE declaration to manifest.xml, which is explained at http://books.evc-cit.info/odbook/ch01.html#manifest-file-section

I zipped the files and renamed .zip to .oxt and tried to install the oxt file.

Yay! Finally I've Installed successfully.
=============================
After I installed the extension, to see it works, I created a new Writer Document, typed "あいうえお" in Japanese(which is "ABC" in English) ,selected the text and set it as "Heading 1" with the Formatting Toolbar.
The text is displayed with "IPAPGothic", which I set as Default Heading Font for Asian from Tools - Options -Basic Fonts(Asian), but not displayed with "Arial", which is for Western text Fonts.

*IPAFonts are available at http://ossipedia.ipa.go.jp/ipafont/index.html

I pressed the TestFont Button on the Toolbar and got the following result:
---
File:

Missing fonts - found: 0 times

Direct formatting fonts - found: 1 times
 Arial  Bold

Fonts assigned to used paragraph styles - found: 3 times
Default  Times New Roman  Regular
Heading  Arial  Regular
Heading 1  Arial  Bold

Fonts assigned to used character styles - found: 0 times

Available system fonts - found: 663 times
(snip)
---

Where is IPAPGothic? Is this expected behavior ? Am I misunderstanding something?

Works as advertised

Good extension - I needed to make sure all my styles were changed to use Windows fonts, and this extension is a great help.

Some Extensions

I just started trying to add extensions or rather seeing why these things don't want to go onto my OpenOffice in the template section. What is up with this adding? It's not doing what it says, period!!! I just wanted to add a few more fonts and that's it.

Don't know how to access testfonts

I had the extension installed under 3.0 but when I upgraded to 3.1 it seemed to loose the button.
I don't know how to access the extension.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

Is enabled

Is enabled Menu - View - Toolbars - Test of missing fonts ?

[solved] How to run it?

UPDATE: It works now. For no apparent reasons, I can the button today, but could not yesterday.

Sorry, I feel stupid... but I installed it (= it shows up in the extensions manager and is activated) but where/how to I run it to get the window shown in the screenshot? I searched all menus and could not find any new button.

Thanks for a hint!
