This spreadsheet will allow you to set a yearly budgeted amount for numerous categories and then track your spending in all of them comparing it to your budgeted amount, just like a business. It will track your income (monthly and yearly) and compare that with your monthly and yearly expenses. All aspects of your home finances can be tracked with this spreadsheet. Just enter your budget for each of the categories in the gray "budgeted" column (leave unused categories blank or change their names but DON'T delete them as it will throw off the calculations), then enter your income in the light yellow "income" section and your expenses in the appropriate category in the light yellow "expenses" section and the spreadsheet will do all the calculations for you.

After returning to work full time from a leave of absence to tend to some personal affairs, upon realizing while I was on hiatus I'd been more than a bit too cavalier about it and carelessly spending & blowing savings reserves like burn money.
So I admitted to myself that in order get back on track will require more than self-discipline and willpower, I'll need to actively set budget limit goals to hold myself accountable to stay within, and I do like this budget spreadsheet because it is diverse without being tedious and complicated.
I actually haven't needed to edit or rename any cell field label names or create new ones for anything personally unique to myself; In fact, I've haven't found anything I can think of to classify as within a category name that's not already designated within this budget template. It's called a template, which are customizable and editable if desired, but truth be told I haven't found a need to change or edit anything. That makes this truly "Simple yet effective." And that's what I really needed when I got this.
BTW, Absolutely I am an actual user, who just happened to download this out of a mix of curiosity and genuine need.
