Comments

When I click the "Minimize pictures..." menu item, it pauses for a second or two and then an Open Office Basic IDE pops up with an error message "Basic Runtime Error // Object variable not set". The line "nHo = oGraph.Size100thMM.Height" is highlighted in the source.

Thanks to provide a sample document to reproduce this error.

When trying to save a document, the File-save dialog box freezes and then Libreoffice crashes.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new file
2. Try to save it ("saving as" button)
3. Wait 2 sec

This problem doesn't occur when PixCompress is deactivated

System :
Kubuntu 14.04
LibreOffice 4.2.4.2.
PixCompress 1.2.1a

Sorry but this extension is dedicated to AOO only.

The extension works perfectly for pictures that have been inserted directly into a document. However, it doesn't work correctly with a document containing pictures that have been inserted in a frame.

In a simple document with 2 JPEG pictures, one in a frame, the other inserted directly:-

  1. the OuvreDialog macro won't open the dialog and gives a run-time error; complains that it can't find the 'Graphic property or method' in line 45: oGraph = oImg.Graphic>
  2. the CompresseImages macro runs and reports success. The directly inserted picture is compressed but the image in the frame disappears and is replaced by an icon that, I think, indicates a faulty graphics load.

Although I am using Libre Office the errors seem to mirror those mentioned in other comments.

I hope this is helpful and you can find a work around as this is an excellent extension otherwise.

Issue fixed with 1.2.0 release

Man, can you imagine that you're a hero?
This addon has been so much expected and wanted, since many years and you just did it!

Working perfectly in LibO writer 3.5.4.2 too (even though it seems to be dedicated to AOO).

I just have a request (as I compared this extension to the Impress Minimizer extension): can we also have jpeg compression with quality loss? The total size is sometimes not so different with no quality loss, and even one time i got a file slightly bigger with a compressed image :)

Thanks again, a lot!
