Made small improvements to the rules for several languages and added preliminary support for Romanian. Fixed some bugs with OpenOffice.org integration. NOTE: this release ONLY works with OpenOffice.org 3.0.1.
Note: this version can be installed only in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 ONLY, and for installing new version of OOo you need to uninstall LanguageTool first. You cannot uninstall LanguageTool 0.9.5 after installing OOo 3.0.1.
This version uses only the native dialog in OOo and fixes all bugs that were caused by the previous Java dialog. There are lots of corrections for Dutch, English, and Polish rules; Russian rules are also heavily updated. For a developer, the most important changes are the introduction of new features in a rule-based disambiguator and the possibility to use attribute unification.
The complete list of changes is available in the changelog here:
- Updated rules for English and Polish
- Fixed crashes with OpenOffice.org integration
- Fixed some false alarms in the German agreement rule
WARNING: this release may be unstable with the OpenOffice.org 3.0 beta versions and release candidates due to a bug in OpenOffice.org (http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93883). The issue will probably be fixed only with the final version.
NOTE: this release requires a recent beta version of OpenOffice.org 3.0 - use LanguageTool 0.9.2 if you are still using OpenOffice.org 2.x. Changes in this release: added support for the new grammar checking API in OpenOffice.org 3.0 beta: displays blue wavy lines for errors automatically and a context menu with suggestions; adds initial support for Russian; improves rules for Dutch, English, Polish, Swedish, and German.
LanguageTool is now part of the "Tools" menu. It is now distributed as an *.oxt file so you can install it by double-clicking. Preliminary support for Swedish has been added. More changes are described in the change log linked from the LanguageTool homepage.
Changes compared to version 0.9: works with OpenOffice.org 2.3, improved rules (mostly Polish and English), bug fixes
